We are sad to announce that on October 31, 2023, at the age of 45, Theodore James Skarbek of Fairfax, Iowa, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Herb and Bernice Skarbek; his aunt Cynthia; his uncles, Bill Siarny and Gary Rieck; and his cousins, Monica, Herb and Travis.
He is survived by: his wife Carrie Brown of Fairfax; his parent Betty Skarbek of Cedar Rapids; his mother-in-law Elaine Brown of Marion; his siblings-in-law, Ryan Brown (Amy) of Maple Grove, Minnesota and Erin Brown of Lincoln; his nieces and nephews, Paige, Zachary and Liam Brown; and his pet Chance. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorials may be directed to the Hall-Perrine Cancer Center (Cedar Rapids) or to the Safe Haven Animal Rescue (South Amana) in Ted's name.
