He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Collingwood and Doris Collingwood (Bickford); his brothers, Dale and Larry Collingwood; and his nephew Treb Collingwood.

He is survived by: his wife Sherry Van Dee of Fairfax, IA; his children, Daniel Collingwood (Britt) of Meridian, ID, David Collingwood (Jacque) of Anamosa, IA and Christina Adams (Chris) of Marion, IA; his grandchildren, Ethan, Kaylin and Krystin Collingwood; his children, Eleanor and Willow Adams; and his brother Les Collingwood (Rosie) of Marengo, IA..
