He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan Henkes and Ruby Henkes (Olson); and his parents-in-law, Ed and Mary Herman. He is survived by: his wife Joyce of Fairfax; his children, Randy Henkes (Erika) of Fairfax and Susan Cook (Travis) of Winthrop; and his grandchildren, Austin Cook of Iowa City, Ella Cook of Independence, Brody, Jax and Elizabeth Henkes of Fairfax.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.
