It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Lee Nemec of Fairfax, Iowa, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on September 30, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Nemec and Mildred Nemec (Zitek); his son Gary; his sister Judith Westcott (Don); and his siblings-in-law, Keith Jilovec, Ben Himmelsbach and Judy Krummel.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his children, Dan Nemec (Keely), Marlene Parr (Jeff), Teresa Lowe (Tom) and Douglas Nemec (Bonnie); his grandchildren, Megan Nemec, Sarah Kopriva (Zach), Lisa Scheer (Blake), Joel Parr (Jenna), Kristen McEvoy (Andrew), Nicole Lowe, Jacob Lowe, Shawn Nemec (Shelby), Mitchell Nemec and Brooke Nemec; and his siblings-in-law, Arlene Jilovec, Janet Himmelsbach and Merle Krummel. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
