He was predeceased by: his parents, Filbert Vondracek and Helen Vondracek (Pospisil); his former wife Doris Melenovsky; his wife Roseann Pospisil; and his in-laws, Wendell Turnipseed, Bob Melenovsky (Joan), Mary Ann Serbousek (Jim) and Martha Serbousek.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Austin Vondracek (Leah), Ryan Martin (Caryn Lee), Joe Martin (Whitney Free), Emily Marcantonio (Corbin Birkbeck), Allison Bohren (George), Andrea Swanberg (Warren) and Jeremy Johnson; his sister Edna Turnipseed; his sister-in-law Susan Melenovsky; and his close friend Joyce Vosdingh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to Swisher American Legion or to the Jefferson Monroe Fire Department.
