She is survived by: her children, Alan Ernst (Brenda) of Waterloo, Mike Ernst (Angie) of Waterloo, Tom Ernst (Susan Wirtjes) of Waterloo, Dale Ernst (Dan Dana) of Cresco, Cathy Ernst Benz of Evansdale, Debbie Ernst of Waterloo and Mary Sharp of Fairbank; and her brother Kevin Springer of La Selva, CA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cedar Valley Hospice in memory of Elaine.
