It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Mae Rath of Fairbank, Iowa, who passed away on December 27, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dayton Clair and Henrietta Loucinda Wright (Keding); her brother Richard C. Wright; her grandson Andy Kaufman; her great grandchild Beckett Kaufman; and her great great grandchild Landree Bradley.

She is survived by: her husband Bob of Fairbank; her children, Sherry Barker (Bryan) of Nevada, Dennis Diercks of Waterloo, Julie Steere (Dorsey) of Tripoli, Vicki Kaufman (Randy) of Fairbank, Gary Diercks of Denver and Michael Diercks (Carolyn) of Denver; her sister Dixie Milius (Butch) of Denver; her sister-in-law Lorraine Wright of Florida; and her stepchildren, Jeanine Begalske (Jim) of West Union, Brian Rath of Cedar Falls and Barry Rath of Walcott. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
