He is survived by: his wife Alice Shannon of Fairbank, IA; his children, Jeannie Kleitsch (Craig) of Fairbank, Jackie Berryhill (Bruce) of Fairbank, Jodie Puff of Hazleton, IA, Janelle Shannon of Fairbank, Jessica Shannon of Fairbank, John Shannon of Independence, IA and James Shannon of Fairbank; and his siblings, Cecil Shannon (Janet Wissler) of Oelwein, IA, Helen Welsh of Waterloo, Joyce Leininger of Evansdale, Virginia Lumsden, Alice Brown, Betty Linihan, Marshall Shannon, Howard Shannon, Duane "Red" Shannon and Leroy Shannon. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
