She was predeceased by: her parents, John Marvin and Anna Belle Marvin (West); her husband Lloyd Mathes; her grandson Kenneth "Sonny" Mathes Jr.; and her siblings, Norma Mortensen, Marilene Whicker, Mary Hawkins and Peggy Owens.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Mathes, Kenneth Mathes, Karen Vandemark (David) and Teresa Kirkland (Darrin); and her siblings, Virginia "Jenny" Ruth (Vaughn), Diane Bogle (Tom) and Roger Marvin (Beck). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren.
