He was predeceased by: his parents, Kristian Peter and Anna Marie Nelsen (Leander); his wife Iola Mae Christensen; his children, Julie Michele Weideman and Larry Peppers; his grandson Jason Peppers; and his siblings, Jackie Nelsen, Daniel, Nellie Nelsen, Sylvia, Herbert Rattenborg, George (Lois Nelsen) and JoAnn (Claude Lasley).
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Peppers of Glenwood, IA and Kris Nelsen of Exira, IA; his children-in-law, Mark Weideman of Atlantic, IA and Claudia Peppers of Creston, IA; his grandchildren, Justin (Silvia Peppers) of Cheyenne, WY, Joshua Peppers (Elisa), Regan Peppers of Glenwood, IA, Melissa Long (Mike) of Glenwood, IA, Christopher Nelsen (Ashley) of Carroll, IA and Matthew Madsen (Michelle) of Brayton, IA.; and his great grandchildren, Tacy Peppers, Landon Peppers, Beowulf Peppers, Katana Peppers, Hayley Kloeckner, Braxton Walker and Max Walker.
