He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lincoln and Ruby Naomi Olsen (Mack); his parents-in-law, Leo and Ruby Petty; and his siblings-in-law, Ron Petty, Roger Petty, Lori Cooper and Patty Petty.
He is survived by: his wife Luann Marie Petty of John's Lutheran Church; his daughters, Charity Olsen (Doug Foster) of Council Bluffs, IA, Tina Olsen (Marty Juelsgaard) of Audubon, IA, Brenda Christensen (Rick) of Audubon, IA, Tabby Olsen of Kimballton, IA and Alicia Stortz (Brian) of Meadow Grove, NE; his grandchildren, Derek, Megan, Allison Foster, Kyle (Courtney), Kalee, Karsen Juelsgaard, Katelynn, Kane, Chevy Christensen, Gracie Olsen, Madilynn, Jackson, Samuel and Amelia Stortz; his great grandchild Lincoln Juelsgaard; his siblings, Brad Olsen (Mary Brasfield) and Marsha Hansen; and his siblings-in-law, Kevin Petty (Cherie), Dell Petty (Leslie Forster), Sid Petty (Cherie), Ivan Cooper, Elsie Flug (Richard), Linda Petty and Jaxine Petty.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home - Exira (234 W South St, Exira, IA 50076). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Exira Lutheran Church (106 W Harrison St, Exira, IA 50076). A committal service will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Exira Cemetery. A burial will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Exira Lutheran Church (106 W Harrison St, Exira, IA 50076).
