Ferne Lorraine Curry Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ferne Lorraine Curry of Exira, Iowa, who passed away on November 2, 2020 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Schlater (Tibben) and Franklyn Schlater; her husband John "Jack" Curry; her sisters, Bernice McCrory (Don) and Virginia Bell (George); and her siblings-in-law, Cathryn Christiansen (Charles) and Norman Kirk.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jacqueline, Mary Jill, Jackie Madrid of Exira and Jill Henningsen (Gerry) of Monument; her grandchildren, Tyler Henningsen (Katie) of Durham, Krystal Showers (John) of Ridgeway, Curry Sutton (Darren) of New Braunfels, Marcos Madrid (Mariah) of San Antonio and Kelly Madrid of Albuquerque; her great grandchild Karris Showers; and her sister-in-law Harriet Curry Kirk. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Services will include a visitation to be held at Kessler's Funeral Home in Exira on Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 10 a. m. to 8 p. m., followed by a graveside funeral service at the Exira Cemetery on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 2 p. m. Social distancing and masks are appreciated and encouraged. A grander celebration of Ferne's life will take place when COVID19 restrictions are lifted.
