It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Allen Schmid of Everly, Iowa, born in Spencer, Iowa, who passed away on March 17, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schmid and Erma Schmid; his father-in-law Donald Plagman; and his brother Joel. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jacob Danilson, Anna Schmid, Adaline Self and Kerry; his wife Rebecca Schmid; his children, Kristina Danilson (Mike) of Gilbert, Brian Schmid (Andrea) of Sacramento and Kerry Self (Chris) of Spencer, Iowa; his grandchildren, Maggie Danilson, Isabelle Schmid and Jocelyn Self; his mother-in-law Florence Plagman; his brother Paul Schmid; and his pet Pippa. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be given to the Spencer Schools Foundation or the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society.
