He was predeceased by: his parents, Don "Doodle" Steffen and Lucile Steffen (Olson); his parents-in-law, Orville and Betty Anderson; his brother Terry Steffen; his niece Heidi Mogush; and his brother-in-law Stephen Anderson.
He is survived by: his family Rossie; his wife Murt Steffen of Everly, IA; his children, Heather Steffen of Des Moines, IA, Tessa Steffen of Sioux Rapids, IA and Tye Steffen (Lisa); his granddaughters, Lucy and Sally of Milford, IA; his siblings, Cory Steffen (Sue) and Connie Steffen (Donovan Prinsloo); and his sisters-in-law, Marcia Steffen, Elaine Lore (Chuck), Janice Coon (Jim) and Norma Jones (Jeff). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
