He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Kirkland and Norma Hurst Kirkland; and his stepson Kass Smith. He is survived by: his wife Jolene McNelly Smith of Evansdale; his daughter Kerri Buehler (Brian); his grandson Tommy of Waterloo; his daughter Kami Kirkland; and his granddaughters, Sofia Sanders and Olivia Stroh of Waterloo.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at 1934 Irving St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613. The military honors will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at the same location.
