She was predeceased by: her parents, William Carpenter and Amanda Hagedorn Carpenter; her husband Vernon Harold Tarbox; her stepfather Hallam Chase; her brother William Carpenter; and her son-in-law William Herrmann.
She is survived by: her daughters, Victoria Herrmann of Janesville, Geraldine Tullis (Stephen) of Waterloo and Jacalyn Cole (Roy) of Waterloo. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren.
