She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edwin Altekruse and Mary Rada Altekruse; her husband Bill Howard; her daughters, Erika Allen of Grundy and Aliscia Smith of Alexandria, VA; and her brother Tad Altekruse of Idaho.
