He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Nichols and Geneva Ohloff Nichols; his spouse Arlita Sweeley; his siblings, Gerald Nichols and JoAnn Chase; and his siblings-in-law, Steven Gehrke and Diane Nichols.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Nichols of Evansdale, Kim Sime (Tim) of Evansdale and Lori Roman (Charles) of Bondurant; his grandchildren, Matthew Johnson (Jessica) of Waterloo, Stephanie Aldrich of Parker, Natasha (Miranda Nichols) and Maisie Roman (Samuel Roman) of New Hampton; his great grandchildren, Avery, Sawyer, Connor, Joel, Ava and Griffin; his siblings, Ronald (Jurly), Robert (Roberta), William (Mary) of Evansdale, Marlin (Becky Vauthier), John (Betty) of Waterloo, Glenda Larson (Jim) of Clear Lake and Catherine Sheeley (Doug); and his sister-in-law Norma Nichols of Evansdale.
