It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janice Lewis of Evansdale, Iowa, born in West Union, Iowa, who passed away on December 18, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Kohls and Mildred Ishman Kohls; her grandson Joe Larson; her sister Marge Thome (Larry); and her nephew David Kohls.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Lewis (Roxane Allen Thielen) of Waterloo, Tammi Kent (Dwayne) of Waterloo and Julie Mallow (Mark) of Waterloo; her grandchildren, Donald Lewis (Heather Clark), Daniel Lewis (Stephani), Joshua Halbfass (Misty Johnson), Christi Larson and Eric Kent; and her siblings, Dennis Kohls (Donna) and Cindy Kirchoff (Jim). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be directed to Cedar Bend Humane Society in memory of Janice.
