It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack McDowell of Evansdale, Iowa, born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on October 8, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester S. McDowell and Nina A. Teller McDowell; and his brother Stephan McDowell. He is survived by: his wife Lynn K. Mosher of Evansdale; his son Ryan McDowell (Cindy) of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Cody McDowell (Emily), Brady McDowell, Nikki McDowell, Abby Vickery (Ron) and Katie Vickery (Louis); his daughter Gina Abrahamson (Justin Swartz) of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Mercedes, Arianna, Seth, Ethan, Evan, Jack Abrahamson and Riley McDowell (Raisa); and his great grandchildren, Lauralai and Lilliean. He is also survived by his in-laws and good friends.
