It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Frances Aurand of Evansdale, Iowa, born in Boone, Iowa, who passed away on June 7, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Mallas and Goldia Mallas (Coleman); her husband Doug; her son Samuel; and her siblings, Ruby, Peter, Robert, John, Jay and Anna.

She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Martin of Waterloo, Debra Hanson of Marina and Julie Hobart of Evansdale; and her brother Kenny Mallas of Corning. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
