She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Niedert and Iona Niedert (Wilson Kern); her husband Edward Sweerin; her siblings, Henry Niedert and Delores Scott (Merrill); her half-siblings, LaVera Korte (John), Martha Kern, Marion Wright (Harold), Helen Blanchard (Vern), Leona Bently (Ernie), Herbert Kern, Floyd Niedert (Faith), Herman Niedert (Virginia), Harry Niedert (Charlotte) and Albert Niedert (Lola); and her siblings-in-law, Darlene O'Brien (Larry), Rolene Whitesell (Ted), Marlys "Tootie" Murray, Melvin "Boots" Sweerin (Vivian), Larry Bockholt and Jim Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Sweerin (Barb) of Evansdale, Dave Sweerin (Tami) of Dinsdale, Vicky Halstead (Brian) of West Union and Sheila Sweerin (Aaron Konigsmark) of Minneapolis, MN; her grandchildren, Cory (Libby), Chris (Lisa), Brianne (Ray), Mitch (Mandy), Matt, Doug (Sami), Emily (Phil), Colleen (Bryce), Logan (Matt), Kristen and Kaitlyn; and her siblings-in-law, Marta "Marty" Bockholdt of Fairbank, Marlene Smith of Parkersburg and James Widner (Brenda) of Jesup. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
