He is survived by: his children, Kelly McGowan (Pat) of Prior Lake and Darin Wempe (Tricia) of Spencer, Iowa; his grandchildren, Sean, Meghan, Aidan, Katie McGowan, Clayton, Carson, Elizabeth and Carver Wempe; and his sister Evelyn Prentice. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
