He was predeceased by: his mother Linda Coleman Merrill (Coleman); his parents-in-law, Jerome and Therese Brinkman; and his brother-in-law Shawn Brinkman. He is survived by: his father Allan Sherling (Kathy); his wife Amy Brinkman; his children, Connor and Cale; his stepfather Thom Merrill; his siblings, Kathy Jo Sherling and Thomas Merrill; and his cousin John Pluth.
