She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lynn Weir and Eunice Weir (Shultz); her daughters, Cheryl Houseman (Rick) of Estherville and Brenda Powell (Steve Wieneke) of Winterset; her daughter-in-law Leanne Syverson of Milford; her grandchildren, Ryan Houseman (Brittney), Rochelle Goos (Jordan), Travis Powell (Haley), Dakota Powell, Morgan Bode (Brian) and Dalton Syverson (Shannon Rohlk); her great grandchildren, Kate Houseman, Remington, Nellie Goos, Knox Powell, Beckett and Briggs Bode; her husband Duane; her son Randy; and her siblings, Bob Weir, Betty Christensen, Wilma Ellis, Lynn Weir and Eunice Weir. She was also cherished by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Marilyn's family prefers donations to the Okoboji Summer Theatre, Estherville Public Library or Emmet County Animal Shelter.
