She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Burke and Alice Burke (Myers); her husband Gary Burmood of Columbus, NE.; her daughter Jodi Wolf; and her parents-in-law, Lee C. and Ferne Burmood (Price).
She is survived by: her brother Ron Burke (Kate) of Visalia, CA; her sister-in-law Judy Lukassen (Tom) of Pleasant Prairie, WI; her nephew Ron Burmood (Jill) of Harrisburg, SD; her son-in-law Phil Wolf of New River, AZ; and her grandchildren, Zach Burmood of Harrisburg, SD and Emilee Wolf of New River, AZ. She is also survived by six nieces and nephews, cousins and other beloved relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Estherville Lutheran Church (208 N 8th St, Estherville, IA 51334). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Roselawn Cemetery (430 19th St, Columbus, NE 68601).
Unfortunately, she developed Parkinson's disease at her retirement, and she began a courageous 16-year battle.
