She was predeceased by: her parents, Beverly Schendel (Wertz) and Edwin Schendel; and her sisters, Patty, Vickie and Connie.
She is survived by: her siblings, Nancy of Davenport and Tim of Sioux Falls; her nieces, Andrea Blocker of Des Moines and Brooke Pruitt of Sioux Falls; her nephew Nathan Blocker of Cedar Rapids; and her brother-in-law Jim Blocker of Fort Dodge.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
