She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Schnell and Margaret Schnell (Roy); and her daughter Connie Herke. She is survived by: her husband Willard Herke; her children, Scott Herke of Graettinger, Mick Herke (Jan) of Ankeny and Kurt Herke (Steve Kampa) of St. Paul, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Marshall Whitney (Jessica), Morgan Whitney, Jack Herke, Eric Herke and Allie Herke; her siblings, Darrel Schnell (Jayne), Darvin Schnell (Marilyn), Laverne "Bud" Schnell (Joyce), Marlene Taylor (Wayne), Don Schnell (Sandy), Keith Schnell (Cathy), Dale Schnell (Gabi) and Judy Hoffmeyer (Rod); and her siblings-in-law, Wilma Refsell and Richard Herke (Rose). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
