He was predeceased by: his parents, Gust Knudson and Lucile Knudson (Boyington); his sisters, Lorabelle Hempstead of Estherville, IA and Blanche Mitchell of Georgetown, TX; his wife Janet Knudson; and his parents-in-law, Herman and Jennie Helmers.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Ostheimer (Dave) of Fort Dodge, IA, Kim Swartz (Kevin) of Norwalk, IA and Rick Knudson (Jen) of Clear Lake, IA; his grandchildren, Christopher Ostheimer, Jonathon Ostheimer, Ryan Swartz (Alexas), Austin Swartz (Erin Cobb), Spencer Swartz (Samantha), Nathan Knudson, Kaitlyn Knudson and Samuel Knudson; his brother Dale Knudson (Wanda) of Visalia, CA; and his siblings-in-law, Delano Helmers (Janice) and Beverly Boell of Jackson, MN. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
