She was predeceased by: her husband Larry; her daughter Diane Helmers Cappy; her grandson Collin Helmers; her siblings, Tom Gallagher, Will Gallagher, Joe Gallagher, Lorretta "Tootsie" Gallagher and Viola Balfor; and her parents, Thomas Gallagher and Sara Gallagher (Margesion).

She is survived by: her sister Pat Knight of Greely, Colorado.; and her sons, Randy Helmers, David "Jocko" Helmers and Tracy "Tug" Helmers.
