He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Guerdet and Florence Guerdet (Flier); his brothers, Douglas and Dennis Guerdet; his parents-in-law, Frank and Gladys Dreyer; and his siblings-in-law, Joanne Walker, Virgina Guerdet, Elaine Herker and Allen Walker.
He is survived by: his wife Jayne Dreyer of Armstrong; his children, Dr. Dean Guerdet (Sam Boeke) of Decorah, Denise Magill (Rick) of Omaha and DeAnne Wickman (Dwayne) of Emmetsburg; his grandchildren, Spencer, Sydni, Cassandra and Nathan; his sister Waunita Hoss (Ken) of Lemars; and his brother-in-law Dave Dreyer (Judy) of Oelwin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Armstrong Fire Department and Ambulance Service.
