He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Lee and Helen Arlene Bonner (Saner); his siblings, Richard Bonner and Joyce Bonner; his parents-in-law, Elroy and Genny Kulow; and his brother-in-law Jim Thoreson.

He is survived by: his wife Tamela Kulow of Patrick's Catholic Church; his children, Barry Bonner (Shanette) of Estherville, Jeremy Bonner (Jodi) of Estherville and Jessica Bonner-Carlson of Estherville; his grandchildren, Nydia Bonner, Quintin Marquez, Cody Davis, Alexis Davis, Shelby Davis, Natalee Rezac and Jackson Carlson; his brothers, Ralph Bonner of Forest City and Darrell Bonner of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota; and his siblings-in-law, Shelly Schmitt (Roger), Jackie Anderson (Darryl), Julie Bonner, Kathy Foster (Rod), Steve Kulow and Tim Kulow (Joy). He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
