She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Millard and Christina Millard (Bresson); and her siblings, Doris Schmidt, Phyllis Betts, Donald and Archie Millard.
She is survived by: her husband Jim Tholkes of Estherville; her children, Debbie Rudd (John) of Estherville, Cindy Yaworske (Al) of St. John's, FL, Greg Tholkes (Cathy) of Shorewood, MN, Lori Venable (Tom) of Ann Arbor, MI and Judy Helgeson (Jeff) of Sioux Falls, SD; and her grandchildren, Katie Tholkes (Gabriel Pereira), Tony Tholkes (Kara), Jason Yaworske (Allison), Cara Sweeney (Matt), Josh Helgeson (DeAnna), Jenna Trefethren (Kyle), Jeff Venable (Amy) and Erin Venable. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Emmet County Relay for Life.
