She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sytsma and Mary Sytsma (McComb); her former husband Herman M. Halsrud; her husband Clifford Peton; and her daughter Beverly Lind.

She is survived by: her sons, Melvin (Florence Halsrud) and Clyde (Antonella Halsrud); and her stepson James (Debbie Peton). She is also survived by many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

“We learned today of Lewie's Aunt Annabelle's passing when I thought to check local obituaries. Please accept our sympathy. Annabelle was the youngest and last of the Sytsma family. Lewie's mother was Edith Sytsma Olson DeWall. In year's passed, the family was close-knit. We haven't had occasion to visit Estherville lately but when we did, we stopped at the nursing home to see her. Goodness, at 98 years, Annabelle had the blessings of a long life. Blessings, Kay and Lewie Olson”
