He is survived by: his wife Carol Ella Berchenbriter of Dolliver; his children, Douglas Swartz (Becky) of Omaha, Kevin Swartz (Kim) of Marshalltown, Scott Swartz (Mary) of Eldora and Merrill Swartz (Jennifer) of Marshalltown; his grandchildren, Brandon Swartz-Brown, Kaley Swartz-Brown, Adam Swartz-Brown, Ryan Swartz (Alexas), Austin Swartz (Erin), Spencer Swartz (Samantha), Emily Bowser (Daniel), Abigail Bradley (Jacob), Ellen Przybyszewski (Joshua), Aaron Swartz, Madison Swartz and Reed Swartz; and his great grandchildren, Emmett, Oliver, Amos Swartz, Ella Aaliyah, Cavender Swartz, Laelyn, Darrell, Freda Bowser and Sophie Bradley.
