She was predeceased by: her father Max Eugene; and her grandparents, Wayne, Freeland Spurgeon, Walter and Helen Dennis.
She is survived by: her mother Virginia Lee Dennis (Spurgeon) of Farragut, IA; her husband Matthew Philip Franks of Essex, IA; her son Wayne Philip of Omaha, NE; her siblings, Nancy Stoll (Duane) of Archer, IA, Linda Nelson (Mark) of Shenandoah, IA and Joel Dennis (Beth) of Breckinridge, TX; her parents-in-law, Ron and Mae Franks of Essex, IA; her brother Todd; and her sister-in-law Becki Franks of Essex, IA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
She entered into eternal rest at Unity Point Health – St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Thursday, October 21, 2021, following a valiant battle with Covid at the age of 59 years, 11 months, 3 days.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Donna's name are being directed to Essex Fire & Rescue or to the Essex Labor Day Fireworks Fund.
