He was predeceased by: his father George Petersen. He is survived by: his mother Harriett Etta Petersen (Cahhal); his wife Kay Petersen; his children, Chase Duckett of Washington and Cailea Evens (Wayne) of Council Bluffs; and his sisters, Tamara Nassiff (David) of Ankeny and Kim Westphal (Jeff) of Adair. He is also survived by grandchildren, aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nishna Valley Funeral and Cremation Service (405 W Thomas Ave, Shenandoah, IA 51601). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Shenandoah Elks Lodge #1122 (709 S Fremont St, Shenandoah, IA 51601).
