It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois A. Laughlin of Epworth, Iowa, who passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Weydert and Delores Weydert (Kelchen); her parents-in-law, Irvin and Lucille Laughlin (Dimmer); her brothers, Gery Weydert and James Weydert; and her siblings-in-law, Jeanne Weydert, Kathy Weydert, Judi Weydert, Darlene Kamm (Donald), Helen Powers (William), Erwin Horsfield, Lloyd Kramer, Ronald Pitz, Joseph Laughlin, Robert Laughlin (Mae), Justin Laughlin (Rosetta) and John Tracey.
She is survived by: her husband Allen Laughlin of Epworth; her children, Richard Laughlin (Lisa Shoeman) of Rochester, MN, Carla Laughlin of Dubuque, Randy Laughlin (Diane) of Peosta and Douglas Laughlin (Michelle) of Johnston; her grandchildren, Keeley Williams (Vince), Krista, Kelsie, Kendra Laughlin, Shayla, Nathan Laughlin, Collin and Mackenzie Laughlin; her great grandchildren, Isaac and Elise Williams; her siblings, Elaine Tracey of Cascade, Jack Weydert of Dubuque, Joyce Horsfield of Epworth, Janet Pitz of Peosta, Tom Weydert (Donna) of Farley, Jerry Weydert (Marty) of Dubuque, Marilyn Kettmann (John) of Bellevue, Marlene Kramer of Farley, Joe Weydert of Dubuque, Bill Weydert (Janice) of Peosta and Dave Weydert of Dubuque; and her sisters-in-law, Doris Laughlin of Zwingle, Rosetta Laughlin of Maquoketa and Donna Weydert of Peosta.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (241 Peosta St, Peosta, IA 52068). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
