With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Hamilton (Epworth, Iowa), born in Cascade, Iowa, who passed away on May 18, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tony Streng and Adele Streng (Sauser); her siblings, John Streng, Bob Streng and Dorie Streng; and her siblings-in-law, Gloria Streng, Geri Streng, Peter Schaaf, Fred Neiers and Tom "Tim" Hamilton.
She is survived by: her husband John "Dick" Hamilton of Dubuque, IA; her children, Stephanie McDermott (Tom) of Cascade, IA, Robert Hamilton (Carmen) of Minnetonka, MN, Amy Boll (Jeff) of Asbury, IA, Kristy Lenz (Greg) of Dubuque, IA and Peter Hamilton (Cathy) of Urbandale, IA; her siblings, Denise Streng, Clara Streng, Grace Schaaf of Mineral Pt, Mary Neiers of Cascade and Lloyd Streng of Dubuque, IA; and her sister-in-law Sue Beaver (Jerry) of North Liberty, IA.. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 2 great granddaughters.
Because of the unprecedented conditions in our country right now due to the COVID-19 Virus, a traditional funeral mass will not be held at this time.
In lieu of flowers Joan's wishes were to have donations given to your favorite charity.
