She was predeceased by: her parents, Merlin Koester and Florence Koester (Porter); and her parents-in-law, Robert and Patricia Neary. She is survived by: her husband Joe of Emmetsburg, Iowa; her daughters, Laura Flattem (Eric) of Chesterfield and Amy Olson (David) of Madison, Wisconsin; her granddaughters, Marielle, Adelynn, Genevieve Flattem, Caroline and Jojo Olson; and her siblings, Rodney Koester of Mason City, Brad Koester of Ankeny, Iowa, Sherrie Mandsager of Clive and Colette Salmon of Fort Dodge, Iowa. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
