He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer and Vera Naig (Lawrence) of Emmetsburg; his son-in-law Todd Mathisen; his siblings, Josephine Juhl (Arno), Marie Evenson (Ken), Charley Naig (June), Leroy Naig and Robert Naig; and his brothers-in-law, Wayne Smith and Allen Fanning.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Hanson; his daughters, Melanie Post (Brian) of Lakefield, MN, Jana Mathisen of Emmetsburg, Kathie Ohrtman (Stewart) of Ringsted, Sue Hennagir (Mike) of Mason City and Richelle Anderson (Jeff) of Ringsted; his siblings, Gaylord Naig (Janice) of Emmetsburg, Marcella Smith of Emmetsburg and Grace Fanning of Illinois; and his sisters-in-law, Alice Naig of Emmetsburg and Marilyn Naig of Armstrong. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Palo Alto County.
