She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Simonsen and Florence Simonsen (Myer); her husband Hans Schroeder; her sister Frances Barlow; and her son-in-law Cal Foster.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Foster of Ankeny, Mary Soppeland (Ron) of Coon Rapids and Mark Schroeder (Connie) of Emmetsburg, Iowa; her grandchildren, Kevin Klotzbier (Erin), Chelsea Potter, Alyssa Schroeder, Rachel Halma (Skylar), Rebecka Soppeland and Miranda Soppeland; her stepgrandson Evan Gunderson; her great grandchildren, Dayna Klotzbier, Bailey Klotzbier, Arya Klotzbier and Elara Potter; and her brother Dean Simonsen (Carol) of Crystal River, Florida. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
