With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marvin Duhn of Emmetsburg, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Marvin left this world on March 13, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Duhn (H. L.) and Betty Duhn (Jensen); his children, Thomas and Marlene; and his siblings, Arlo, Albert, John, Frank, Louise, Vivian Jorgensen and Betty Jean Jorgensen.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth E. Torreson of Emmetsburg, IA; and his children, Chuck Duhn (Therese) of Emmetsburg, IA, Kurt Duhn (Gail) of St. Paul, MN and Jeanne Frerichs (Timothy) of Fredonia, NY. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Martin-Mattice Funeral Home (704 Grand Ave, Emmetsburg, IA 50536). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Bethany Lutheran Church (703 Broadway St, Emmetsburg, IA 50536).
