He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Laubenthal; his children, Dan, Dale, Karen Beranek (David) of Sioux Falls, SD and Kent Kerber; his grandchildren, Matt Beranek of Sioux Falls, SD, Rachel Hagen (Alex) of Fairbanks, AK, Jeremy Kerber of Council Bluffs, Amanda Kerber of Auburn, Melissa Kinney (Carter) of Lohrville, Talli Ramey (Jesse) of Orient, Chris Kerber (Ali) of Greenfield, Sara Thompson (Kyle) of Fontanelle, Carter Kerber and Cali Kerber; and his great grandchildren, Bellamy Kinney, Capri Ramey, Colt Ramey, Cash Ramey and Evan Kerber. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
