We are sad to announce that on September 20, 2024, at the age of 99, Joy Englin of Emmetsburg, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gloyd Wellman and Lena Wellman (Kintzi); her spouse Vareld "Swede" Englin; her mother-in-law Rosetta Englin (Carlson); her stepmother-in-law Emma Rempel (Frank); her daughter-in-law Pam Englin; her grandson-in-law Greg McFarland; her brothers, LeRoy Wellman (Maria), Chuck Wellman and Gloyd Wellman, Jr.; her siblings-in-law, Marvin Englin (Joni), Harry Peters, Marion Wellman and Elvona Aden (Ray); and her nephews, Richard Wellman and Greg Wellman.
She is survived by: her children, Rosetta Thron (Randall) of Melbourne, FL, Gene Englin (Patty) of Emmetsburg, IA, Gary Englin (Marlene) of Audubon, IA, Lynelle Hansen (Mark) of Humboldt, IA, Eileen Madsen (Mike) of Garner, IA and John Englin (Kaye) of Cedar Falls, IA; her grandchildren, Todd Anderson (Candace), Jill McFarland-Packard (Steve), Phillip Thron (Jen), Nicholas Thron (Stephanie), Jeff Englin (Alice), Dan Englin (Heather), Mike Englin (Heather), Stef Stenberg (John), Julie Collins (Ivan), Owen Englin (Erin), Tony Englin (Stacie), Jim Englin (Chanda), Joy Schreiber (Mark), Eric Hansen (Rosie), David Hansen (Tammy), Emily Seo (Minsoo), Bethany Hythecker (Eric), Steven Madsen (Abby), Katelyn Nicholson (Jeremy), Megan Janssen (Justin) and Jake Englin; her siblings, Leon Wellman and Phyllis Peters; and her sisters-in-law, Alice Wellman, Roxann Wellman and Merlie Kluver (Dennis). She is also survived by 63 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
