She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Truog and Ruth Truog (Draman); her husband Donald L. Peters; her daughter Carol Peters; her grandson Kyle Rierson; her great grandchild Madisen Carr; her brother Wayne Truog (Mardell); and her son-in-law Ken Buhl.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Buhl of Rockwell City, Dan Peters (Cheryl) of Viola, Donna Weig (Thomas) of Emmetsburg, Pam Taylor (William) of Burlington, Carla Firkins (Al) of Emmetsburg and Dr. Paul Peters (Kim) of Madrid, Iowa. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; thirty one great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Martin-Mattice Funeral Home (704 Grand Ave, Emmetsburg, IA 50536). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (311 IA-4, Mallard, IA 50562).
The family requests that memorials be directed to Horizon's Unlimited in Emmetsburg.
