He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertice Rouse and Olga Rouse (Prather); his wife Daisy Higbie; his stepmother Tillie Rouse; his siblings, Vernon, Alvin, Ellen and Wilma; his son-in-law Lloyd; and his grandchildren, Joshua, Joey and Joni.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Chown (Curt) of Charleston, David Rouse of California, Karen Johnson of Coralville, IA, Roger Rouse (Delana) of Maurice, Louisiana, Jim Rouse (Roni) of Monroe, Iowa, Kimberly Stoever (Tim) of Spencer, Iowa and Kelley Krick (Kelly) of South Orange; and his daughter-in-law Jean Swenson of Spencer, Iowa. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; forty-eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
