He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Appelhons and Emma Appelhons (Baker). He is survived by: his close friend Laurie Montag of Emmetsburg, Iowa; his children, Lorelei Weckman (Brian) of New Virginia and Lisa Thompson of Waukee, Iowa; his grandchildren, Aidan, Cole Weckman, Hadlei and Harper Thompson; his brother Dennis Appelhons (Lois); his uncle Joe Appelhons; his nieces, Beth Mitchell and Amanda Appelhons; and also, Tami Mishra (Jamie Scott), Todd Montag (Cindy), XZarrion, Calbin, Emberlyn, Ravi, Jasmijn, Andrea and Alicia. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
