He is survived by: his parents, Charles Vestal and Patricia Vestal (Reynolds) of Emerson, IA; his former wife Jodi Schoening; his wife Susan Vestal of Emerson, IA; his sons, Lance Vestal (Courtney) of Emerson, IA, Corey Vestal (Tasha) of Red Oak, IA and James Smith (Nichole) of Colorado Springs, CO; his grandchildren, Grace MacDonald of Sidney, IA, Kaleb, Kaelin, Brody Vestal of Emerson, IA, Avery Smith of Colorado Springs, CO, Otis Vestal of Red Oak, IA and Liam Douglas of Charleston, SC; his sisters, Teresa Euken (Mark) of Red Oak, IA and Brooke Thielen (Jeff) of Council Bluffs, IA; and his sister-in-law Denise Pitner of Denver, CO. He is also survived by other step-children and many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Indian Creek Museum.
