He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. Wear and Donna Wear. He is survived by: his spouses, Charla Gordon (Hurtt) and Colleen Wear of Ely; his children, Paul Wear (Norah) of Evanston, Tracey Schmidt of Cedar Rapids, Kristen Wear of Silver Springs and Timothy Schmidt (Lindsay) of Mason City; his grandchildren, Ramona, Felix Wear of Evanston, Mattie, Evan Coll of Bartonsville, Spencer Schmidt of San Antonio, Alec and Nicholas Schmidt of Mason City; his brother Frederick Wear (Sharon) of St. Louis, Missouri; his nephews, Craig, Brian and Keith Wear; and his sister-in-law Gail Cash (Kevin) of Stanton. He is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Lutheran Church Renovation Fund, Mercy Hospice, Mercy Hospital or the Hall-Perrine Cancer Center.
